Product designer

I question the requirements.
Then build what’s missing.

I’m Amber. I look at how users, processes, and data connect across a product, push back when a requirement doesn’t match how people actually work, and build tools with Claude Code when no one else is driving.

From fixed personas
to views users define.

Product planned fixed personas. I argued that people’s responsibilities overlap, the idea was deferred, and I brought it back months later. User-defined views shipped to production.

Connect the whole product.

Outside of work: Pickleball, traveling with my Fujifilm X100F camera, and rearranging furniture.

I look at how features, data, and processes connect—and where those connections break down. I investigate assumptions and bring questions and alternatives into discussion so the team can choose a direction. When I spot recurring friction, I build solutions that improve how we work.

I’ve always had ideas for how things could work better. Using AI tools like Claude Code to build them and see them come to life has been incredible. I prototype, evaluate, and refine my own solutions, learning new tools as I go.
